THE SHOW:
The Cottage is a romantic and (not quite) murderous comedy of manners. The true meaning of fate, identity and marriage are called into question as a surprising, hilarious web of secrets unravels in this ridiculous, potentially murderous, uncharacteristically feminist 1923 British tale of sex, betrayal and love.
Standard British dialect will used in production.

SYLVIA – A lovely and rash romantic
BEAU – Perhaps the best-looking man in Britain
MARJORIE – Eight months pregnant, pragmatic and a tad spicy
CLARKE – A distinguished gent with a lover’s spirit
DIERDRE – An awfully pretty, sometimes wise nincompoop
RICHARD – A murderous yet gentle soul

The Bellevue Little Theatre, an all volunteer organization, maintains an "equal opportunity" policy for volunteer recruitment of both board and production positions. Auditions are open to the general public, with the same "equal opportunity" policy. Bellevue Little Theatre does not discriminate against any person regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation, or ethnicity. Actors of all backgrounds and experience levels are encouraged to audition! All roles are open for audition except an occasional role is precast and is so noted in the audition notice.
We are always in search of talent of all ages, mostly adult. Our children shows require many child actors, as do some of the other shows, as listed in the audition notices. Audition notices will be placed on this page as they are announced. Also look for them in your newspaper and listen for public service announcements on radio and television.
